Mr. Bolton joined the Company as a director in 2013, bringing extensive public company and real estate operating experience to the Board. On April 1, 2025, he began serving as the Executive Chairman of Mid-America Apartment Communities, Inc. (“MAA”), after having served as MAA’s Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of the Board of Directors since October 2001 and September 2002, respectively. Mr. Bolton has been a member of MAA’s management team since April 1994. He was named MAA’s Chief Operating Officer in February 1996 and was promoted to President in December 1996. Before joining MAA, Mr. Bolton was Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Trammell Crow Asset Management in Dallas. He has also served on the Executive Board and the Advisory Board of Governors of the National Association of Real Estate Investment Trusts (“Nareit”). Mr. Bolton holds an undergraduate degree in Accounting from the University of Memphis and an MBA with a concentration in Finance and Real Estate from the University of North Texas.
