Job Description

EastGroup Properties has an opportunity for an Investor Relations Analyst.  This role will provide support to the Senior Management team by analyzing financial information, engaging with investors and research analysts, and assisting with coordination of correspondence and investor relations events.

Summary of Job Duties:

  • Facilitate correspondence between the Company, shareholders and research analysts.
  • Analyze sell-side research analyst reports and consensus estimates for the Company; provide summary updates to the Senior Management team.
  • Monitor financial activities, news releases, and analyst reports for the Company’s peers; provide summary updates to the Senior Management team.
  • Update quarterly investor presentation and other relevant investor relations-related information on the Company’s website.
  • Respond to inquiries from investors and analysts.
  • Implement and maintain investor relations database to track analyst and investor profile reports and meeting information.
  • Participate in virtual and in-person meetings with analysts and investors. In-person meetings may include investor conferences and individual investor meetings in various cities.
  • Coordinate the preparation and dissemination of materials to conferences and investor meetings; act as on-site liaison to ensure all event logistics are managed effectively.
  • Assist asset management teams with investor and analyst property tours and local events.
  • Review market and leasing statistics schedules that are included in the quarterly Supplemental Information, in addition to other information provided to the Senior Management team for investor discussions.
  • As needed, work with the Corporate Accounting Team on various accounting and finance projects.
  • Work with the Director of Corporate Sustainability on the Company’s annual Corporate Responsibility report, Priorities webpage, and other communications.
  • Other responsibilities, as assigned.

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor Degree in Business, Finance or Accounting related field with at least 5 years relevant work experience. Masters Degree or Certified Public Accountant license is preferred.
  • Experience and knowledge of publicly traded company reporting requirements and investor relations is preferred.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong analytical skills with understanding of financial statements, corporate finance, and financial markets.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Proficient with all Microsoft Office Suite products, with emphasis on Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to present financial data in an understandable and visually appealing manner.
  • Ability to conduct research and understand data and how it relates to the Company.
  • Must demonstrate ability to coordinate multiple assignments simultaneously while completing assigned tasks accurately and timely.
  • Ability to travel to conferences, investor meetings, and property tours as needed.
  • Strong networking and relationship building abilities.
